The Student Research Symposium, a competition-based event, showcased 13 presenters among Psychology alumni, Final Year Project (FYP) students, and the students from Non-Experimental Design and Analysis (PSYC 3031) course. These participants took center stage to share their research and insights in an intellectually stimulating environment.

The symposium was evaluated by an esteemed panel of three judges: Muhammad Karimi bin Sulaiman, Wan Adibah Nadiah Abd Razak, and Qarem Bin Mohamed Mustafa.

The Academic Advisor of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Nurul Miza Binti Rashid conveyed her hopes for the event to inspire students in their academic journeys while fostering intellectual growth and competition in her welcoming remarks.

Among the 13 participants, two outstanding presenters stood out, earning awards for the Judges’ Favourite and Audience Favourite categories, respectively. Huriyyah Hamiemah Binti Md Tajudin won the Judges’ Favourite Award while Nur Rasyidah Najihah Binti Rosli won the Audience Favourite Award.

The key feature of the event was the 3-Minute Presentation Style (3MT), which challenged participants to present their research into concise, engaging, and impactful presentations. This format emphasized clarity, accessibility, and relevance, allowing students to effectively highlight the significance of their work to a diverse audience. ***
