MALAYSIA is a developing country that produces its own indigenous commodities with other countries. Over 100 well-known and high-quality Malaysian-made brands have been launched.
Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) is one of the most profitable Malaysia made brands in the world, and it has been Malaysia’s most valued brand since 2011. The oil and gas corporation has approximately 1,000 stations nationwide country.
Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, the founder and first chaiperson of PETRONAS, was initially assigned the job of establishing a national oil firm by the second prime minister, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, who stated that his aim was to select personnel with considerable knowledge to oversee the company.
The effectiveness and ability of PETRONAS to develop the country’s oil and gas sector over the years has proven to bring very lucrative results to the entire country.
The valuation of PETRONAS grew by 15 percent, reaching RM60.88 billion. Malaysia’s oil and gas industry has risen quickly since 1974, with accumulated investments exceeding RM650 billion as of 2021. Despite the fact that it has been 40 years since it was first established, this oil and gas company is still well received by customers.
PETRONAS is strongly tied to SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, for which the corporation has developed its own strategy to improve the corporate economy. This corporation has a significant impact on the national economy and the good reputation of Malaysia.
As a result, the government must take the initiative and promote the names of other Malaysian brands such as PETRONAS.***
