A research paper titled “IoT Enabled Vibration Analysis for Smart Stingless Beekeeping” by Rabiatul Maisarah Binti Firdausthul Ahmad Sufian, Dr. Adibah Binti Amir, and Dr. Tuan Ahmad Zahidi Bin Tuan Abdul Rahman won both the Best Paper Award and Best Presenter Award at the 1st International Congress on Green Engineering and Sustainable Development (ICoGESD).
The event was held in conjunction with the International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Smart Solutions (ICEESS) at Casuarina Hotel, Meru, Ipoh on 29 & 30 September 2025.
Success in academia is never an individual journey, it is the result of collaboration, mentorship, and resilience through challenges and discovery. This achievement demonstrates the quality and relevance of the research and celebrates the strength of teamwork, persistence, and shared passion for innovation
This research presents an innovative solution for the rapidly growing stingless beekeeping industry. By leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) technology to analyse hive vibrations, the team has developed a smart monitoring system that enhances colony protection, improves hive productivity, and supports long-term beekeeping sustainability.
More than just a technological advancement, this work contributes to environmental stewardship. Stingless bees are vital natural pollinators, safeguarding biodiversity, strengthening food systems, and supporting ecological balance, particularly in tropical regions.
This recognition highlights the critical role of smart agriculture in building a more sustainable and resilient future for communities and ecosystems.***
