GOMBAK, 27 March 2023: Prof. Dr. Shukran Abd Rahman, the Dean of AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS) successfully launched the programme, AHAS KIRKHS Ihya’ Ramadhan last Wednesday (22 March).

Prof. Dr. Shukran congratulated and thanked the Office of the Deputy Dean (Student Development, and Community Engagement), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Noh bin Abdul Jalil for leading this initiative and for organizing the Ihya’ Ramadhan launching ceremony.

“Ramadhan is not only a month for us to restrain ourselves from eating in the morning to the evening, but it is a process of education,” said Prof. Dr. Shukran in his speech.

“It is a month we call as madrasah and a month where we train ourselves to be better for our creator Allah S.W.T and to be a better person to our family, including our friends,” he further emphasised.

As ramadhan is a month full of education and to be benefited from, Prof. Dr. Shukran wished for others to benefit from it as well.

“It is the reason why we are having many programmes in the month of Ramadhan and why the programme is called Ihya’ Ramadan is in response to Surah Al-Asr, verses 2-3, “Surely humanity is in grave loss except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance.”

“The Ihya’ Ramadhan programme focuses on how we can benefit from new experiences, knowledge or information as well as complimenting educational programmes that they have in the Kulliyyah especially in terms of intellectual, social and educational development of the students in the month of Ramadhan,” explained Prof. Dr. Shukran.

Lastly, Prof. Dr. Shukran urged the students to invite their friends to participate and benefit from the programmes that the secretariat has designed for everyone. ***
