GOMBAK, 2 December 2022: The IIUM 38th Convocation which will begin in three days, from 3 – 7 December 2022, will gather all graduands to mark the end of their journey as students.
However, the graduands are reminded to fulfil several checklists such as paying their convocation fees and others as issued by the finance division.
The convocation ceremony, which will be held at the Main Hall, IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC), further detailed out specific procedures that should be adhered:
1) Seating
- All graduating students must assemble at Entrance 11, IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC)
- Check seat number and mark attendance by scanning the provided QR Codes
- Once arrives at the hall, proceed to assigned seat number
- Wear mask throughout the ceremony
2) Procession
Graduands are encouraged to review the following protocols to ensure a smooth convocation process:
Queue to receive the scroll
- Wait to be escorted outside the building and the multimedia card should be brought to the stage.
Verify the Authenticity of the multimedia card
- Examine it to ensure the multimedia card operates in the intended area. If everything is well, proceed to the stage. If not, ask the committee for a card replacement.
Receive Scroll on stage
- Proceed to the stage to receive the scroll and hand the card to the appropriate committee there.
Return to your assigned seat
- Return to your seat in a professional manner after receiving the scroll, and remain until the ceremony is over.
3) Attendance
Able to attend the graduation
If the graduand is able to attend the graduation ceremony, verify his or her name on the list here.
The graduand should check the invitation email sent by IIUM and confirm attendance to the ceremony.
Unable to attend the graduation
If the graduand cannot make it to the 38th IIUM Convocation, he or she should fill out the provided form here and send it to the office in charge.***
