GOMBAK, 3 December 2022: The IRKHSSS Election Commission announced the list of qualified candidates for the IRKHSSS Student Election 2022 during the press conference held at 10.00 a.m. yesterday (2 December) via Youtube Live that suggested competent future leaders.
In the race for the President seat, Nurul Husna binti Mohd Khairul (Department of Psychology) and Amir Zulhidayat bin Mohd Zubir (Department of Usuluddin and Comparative Religion) have been qualified as the candidates.
For the seat of Treasurer, Ahmad Aimanul Hakim bin Ayub (Department of History and civilization) has been qualified to contest while there were no candidates contesting for the Secretary seat.
Meanwhile, for the Council of Chairperson seats, all departments nominated candidates to run and the following have been qualified for Secretariat positions:
- Secretariat of Arabic Language and Literature: Abdul Rahman Rahimi bin Mohd Ghazi
- Secretariat of Communication: Sarah Kamilia binti Mohd Razi
- Secretariat of English Language and Literature: Haifa Farzaana binti Chek Zainon and Fathin Naufal binti Nizam
- Secretariat of History and Civilization: Anis Qamalina binti Kamaruddin
- Secretariat of Fiqh and Usul Al-Fiqh: Muhammad Ukasyah bin Mohamad Kamarudin
- Secretariat of Quran and Sunnah Studies: Ammar bin Adlan
- Secretariat of Usul Al-Din and Comparative Religion: Khubaib bin Huda
- Secretariat of Political Science: Ahmad Imran Mukhriz bin Badrul Hisyam
- Secretariat of Psychology: Nur Maisarah Kamalhisham and Nur Natasha Azeze binti Shariman Azeze
- Secretariat of Sociology and Anthropology: Fatin Nasuha binti Mohammad
Before the adjournment of the press conference, the Chairman of the election commission, Iman Zikry, urged the students of IRKHSSS to participate in the upcoming election programmes.
Below are the programmes scheduled:
- Speakers Corner: 9th December 2022 (Friday)
- Secretariat Debate: 12th December 2022 (Monday)
- Presedential Debate: 14th December 2022 (Wednesday)
- Polling Day: 15th December 2022 (Thursday)
Iman Zikry accentuated the importance of every student voting on election day that, “Your vote is not only your right, it is your power that you can use for the betterment of the students and to make our Kulliyyah great again”.***
