AHAS KIRKHS Election: Total voters’ turnout just shy out of 50 per cent

GOMBAK, 9 December 2021: A total of 48.2 per cent (1,930) students of AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic of Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS) have exercised their rights in voting for their student representatives today.

This figure is the highest voters’ turnout as compared to the last two elections (in 2020 and 2019) which saw only 34.2 per cent and 26.6 percent turnout in the Islamic Revealed Knowledge Student’s Society (IRKHSSS) General Election.

Presidential Constituency

President: Muhammad Faris Bin Jafri – 43 per cent (1,623 votes)

Vice President 1: Amiratul Huda Binti Mohd Sham – 31 per cent (1,179 votes)

Vice President 2: Mus’ab Umayr Bin Hermee – 26 per cent (1,012 votes)

Secretarial Constituency

Secretary General: Nazratul Huda Binti Mohd Nadhir – 55 per cent (1,047 votes)

Secretary 2: Nazeeha Ixora Binti Nassir – 45 per cent (860 votes)

Treasurer Constituency

Honorary Treasurer: Farzana Binti Zulkifli – 73 per cent (1,383 votes)

Treasurer 2: Izzat Muhammad Haziq Bin Kamarudzaman – 27 per cent (524 votes)

Council of Chairpersons Seat

Secretariat of Political Science:

Muhammad Ammar Syahmi Bin Anuar – 48 per cent (88 votes)

Najwan Arief Bin Mohd Zahari – 52 per cent (96 votes)

Secretariat of Psychology

Farah Izzati Binti Ahmad Azzam – 45 per cent (83 votes)

Wafa Waleed Saeed Basalamah – 55 per cent (101 votes)

Department of Usuluddin and Comparative Religion – 49  per cent (175)

The election counting process ended at 7.20p.m. after the ballots closed at 6.00p.m.***
