GOMBAK, 7 July 2021:  Graduan will organise their very own “Graduan Aspire Virtual Career Fair” from 9 until 12 July on their website where participants are expected to fill the webinars for an exclusive chat with potential employers for on-the-spot interviews and many more.

Graduan Aspire aims to provide a platform for students to survey future employers and increase awareness for students seeking a place in their favourable industry. The virtual career fair is also held to encourage students and the public from various qualifications and working experiences to gain more exposure from more than 100 companies that will be available during the event.

Alyaa Atikah, who is currently Maybank’s student ambassador and Graduan’s student ambassador stated that the virtual career fair is a great opportunity for IIUM students to grab internship placements and job opportunities during this pandemic time.

As Graduan’s ambassador, their objective is to help the IIUM community, particularly students from various Kulliyyah in IIUM campus who are currently looking for internship placements as well as graduating students who are seeking for job opportunities.

Alyaa Atikah said, “I’ve been noticing that a lot of IIUM students, especially third and final year students only create their Linkedin accounts to look up for internship placements and job vacancies without even putting the effort to create their presence on Linkedin.”

Hence, the “Graduan Aspire Virtual Career Fair” is one of the initiatives that Graduan organised in order to achieve their ambassadors’ goal.

It is also important to note that although internship and job seekers are Graduan’s main target audience for the virtual career fair, Alyaa Atikah mentioned, “I would like to emphasise that career fairs are not only for internship and job seekers, but for everyone of various qualifications.”

Graduan Aspire Virtual Career Fair will be a great chance for students to get an insight of their respective industry players and to look for internship placements or job opportunities.

Numerous activities will be held during the virtual career fair including chat sessions with employers in virtual booths, applying to jobs featured by companies, roundtable discussions and etc.

The itinerary of the event begins with a day full of webinars from top employers in Malaysia such as Axiata, Roche, Nestle, Lotus’s and Telekom Malaysia. The second day is followed by sessions with Dell Technologies, Hartalega, Maybank, Khazanah Nasional and many more.

The third day of the event is fully occupied by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation while the last day is filled by Great Eastern, U Mobile, Top Glove and etc.

The virtual career fair is open to the public and IIUM community regardless of academic background.
