GOMBAK, 23 September 2018: To strengthen the unity of Islam, International Islamic Unity Convention (ICON) has brought Sheikh Ahmed Abu Ayesh Al Najjar as the third speaker to talk on “Khalifa: the agent of Unity” in a dialogue held at Main Auditorium on Saturday (22 September).
Themed “Holding hands for mercy to all the world”, ICON brought three speakers: Dr. Farmir Shehu, Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Farouk Musa, Syeikh Ahmed Abu Ayesh Al Najjar, with different topics.
In his speech Sheikh Ahmad emphasised unity of Islam regardless of any nations and countries around the world because all Muslims are brothers/ sisters. “There is no difference among Muslims but the piety or taqwa, as written in Al Quran in Al Hujurah verses 13.”
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.”
“Prophet Rasulullah SAW has sent down to the world to perfect good moral and character to unite Arab tribes and to teach Islamic teaching to the universe. I have been sent only to perfect the good moral character,” said Sheikh Ahmad.
Sheikh Ahmad said that for more than 1400 years, Islamic teaching has reached all around the world and become the world’s second largest religion and the fastest growing major religion of the world.
“Unfortunately, currently Islam has suffered a big problem in unity, they are separated, self-centred, fight each other which make their strength fade and depart.”
“Prophet Muhammad SAW has predicted that someday in the future, Muslims will be in such a bad condition that they are as though food contested by a group of predators. These conditions happen because Allah has planted in their hearth the disease of AL-WAHAN. Love of the world and fear of death (Abu Dawud and Ahmad).”
Furthermore, Sheikh Ahmad also called on the unity of Muslims around the world to help and protect a blessed place, Al-Aqsa, from invasion of the Zionist. As a symbol of faith for Islam, Al-Aqsa is important for Muslims in the universe, not just Muslims in Palestine.
“The unity of Islam is needed to protect and help Palestine against Zionist Israel. Supporting Palestine from Zionist is not only by fighting or war, but there are also many ways of helping like donating (Shadaqah), and Praying (du’a),” Sheikh Ahmad said.
Sheikh Ahmad believed that the unity of Islam is a solution to all their problems.***
