GOMBAK, 24 September 2018: For the second time, KAED Crash Run (KCR) is back this semester with a new route and new obstacles held in campus last Saturday (22 September).

Flagged off at 8.30 a.m by the Dean of the Kulliyyah, Prof. Ar. Dr. Abdul Razak Sapian, the event witnessed around 200 runners, students and members of the public all together running for the race.

Organised by Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED), this run is one of the programmes under KAED Fest 2018.

Meant to have uniqueness of its own, KCR offered obstacles in each kilometre for the runners. The event was 5 kilometres on road and runners need to pass by the hilly ICT hill and sloppy Salahuddin route along the course.

‘The Kaed Crash Run is formed because we want it to have an identity of its own. Similar to the IIUM Trail Run, organised by the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS), we want IIUM students to acknowledge that KAED also has it own running event,” said Mohd Azam bin Khalid, the programme manager for KCR.

“Other than putting an identity on this run, we also wish for the students, especially those from KAED, to have a release of mind while cramping between projects and assignments in the studio,” he further elaborated.

He also said, “By Allah’s will, there will be the third KCR next year.” ***
