GOMBAK, 26 November 2023: A new course offered by AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS), the Bachelor of Halal Industry Management (BAHIM) programme, saw 14 students graduate with honours, in the first session, at the 39th IIUM Convocation Ceremony, yesterday (25 November 2023). The event took place in the Main Hall of the IIUM Cultural Centre, IIUM Gombak.
The International Institute for Halal Research & Training (INHART) that had only offered a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Halal Industry Management, began collaborating with AHAS KIRKHS, to offer a new course, the Bachelor in Halal Industry Management, since Semester I, 2021/2022.
An INHART PhD student, Nik Nadia Izyan binti Jamil, was asked about her opinion of the new course offered by AHAS KIRKHS. She stated that the course is one of the extensive branches that has opened new career paths for students who pursue their degrees in Halal Industry Management.
œThis course is interesting as you learn a lot of things. The halal industry is not only limited to food but also applies to cosmetics, logistics and the like, she said.
