GOMBAK, 4 January 2023: A webinar titled œPromoting Halal Products in Malaysia and Abroad: Development and Advice that delved into the difficulties and evolution of advertising halal products in both the local and international market was conducted on the 28 December 2022.
The Chairman of the Sectoral Working Group (Food Services) and Halal Development Corp (HDC), Tuan Haji Mohd Roslan Bin Mohd Saludin, enlightened the session by providing a professional view into the impact of halal goods.
According to Tuan Haji Mohd Roslan, there are three pillars to ensure the smooth process of products, namely accountability, traceability, and transparency.
œWithout accountability, traceability, and transparency we will not achieve what we hope for to be achieved, he said.
The Chairman praised Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) as a prime example of how thorough they are during their evaluations and in doing so, has created a beacon of brand awareness in the halal food industry.
œWe have to communicate effectively and efficiently to ensure our products and produce are accepted locally and globally, he added.
The webinar continued to discuss various issues such as the future of halal markets, the obstacles in getting a halal certificate, and foreign countries reception to our halal products.
Aimed at Communication students looking to expand their mindset on the intricacies of marketing in the halal industry, the webinar was carried out via Google Meet from 10.00 a.m. till 11.20 a.m.
The webinar was organised by Integrated Marketing Communication students and hosted by a Communication student, Nurul Ellysha Fitri Binti Zakaria.***
