GOMBAK, 4 December 2022: Mohamad Hazizie Bin Sulkafle who won the Best Student Award in the Doctor of Philosphy (PhD) from International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilsation (ISTAC-IIUM) yesterday placed full reliance on Allah S.W.T despite his uncertainty to have reached this level.
Hurdles in Hazizies PhD journey such as COVID-19 lockdowns, financial issues, and instances of demotivation did not stop him to flourish beyond his expectations.
œI always thought of the hopes my parents have for me and rely on the rizq given by Allah S.W.T, because no matter how perfect your planning may be or how strong-willed you are, it is all up to Him to grant you success, he shared in an interview with IIUMToday.
Despite his load of uncertainties, he always sought help from Allah S.W.T and thought of his parents as ways that kept him motivated.
œEveryone has own struggles and different people to rely on. I believe that if you have any problem, try to reach out to someone and dont keep it all to yourself, he added.
He also expressed his utmost gratitude to ISTAC-IIUM for their financial support throughout his study period in terms of tuition deduction fees as long as his research progress were satisfactory.
When asked for last words to future graduands, Hazizie stressed that one œshould never lose hope in life and with Allah S.W.T as every cloud has a silver lining.
Although the best has arrived for Hazizie in this moment of his life, the best is yet to come as Hazizie continues to embark on a journey as a newly full-time officiated academician of IIUM.***
