GOMBAK, 27 May 2022: Nurul Humairah binti Mohd Faizul Aris who is running for the seat of Office of Communication, Advocacy and Promotion (OCAP), wants to focus on communication reformation and networking development.
With the slogan “Reaching Every End”, the candidate promises to communicate and reach out to students on all ends as she believes that is what ensures an organization’s objective will be met.
“Last tenure, I observed and realized the true potential the Union had,” said the candidate explaining why she’s passionate about contesting for the office.
Mairah who is a student of AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS) unfolded her manifestos: To Reform The Communication Approach Towards a More Efficient Practice. To Actively Advocate IIUMSU towards National Recognition. To proactively expand the networking of IIUMSU globally.
“My first manifesto has been curated to uphold the principle of transparency,” said Mairah on her manifesto to reform the communication approach towards a more efficient practice.
In order to actively advocate IIUMSU towards national recognition, she stressed that “When discussing the matter of communication, advocacy cannot be left out”.
On her last manifesto, she intends to work tirelessly to manifest it into reality saying, “We plan to reach out to organizations and entities that provide skill certificate programs, to promoting students representations and marketability”.
“The lists of execution plans and mechanisms were all set, and still need to be checked on the relevancy time by time,” says Mairah who wants to increase the trust between students as she plans to also make this university a safe space for everyone.
A good leader is someone who can create a good work system and a good work culture says the candidate as she explained that “It will determine the efficiency of every decision and actions taken and create a sense of belonging among the staff members and all the union members”.
“Communication is the key to everything, without it students will be blocked from getting their rights,” says Mairah on her final message to IIUM students. ***
