Muhammad Farith always aims to be a high achiever

GOMBAK, 14 March 2022: Dreaming to be among the best and living by the principles of doing his utmost has always been the practice of award recipient of the Abdullah Ibnu Ummi Maktum Special Achievement Award, Muhammad Farith bin Ariffin.

“I regard myself as an ordinary student during my years in IIUM but always dreamt of wanting to be among the best.

“I always live by the principle of doing my best in everything that I commit myself to do,” Muhammad Farith told IIUMToday.

“Life is simple, in which when you want to achieve a certain goal, you need to have the right and positive mindset and always plan ahead,” he further remarked.​

The political science graduate shared that it is important to pay attention in class, identify the best study style that suits you, get a good rest before any examinations, and also always maintain your relationship with Allah.

“You have to know your limit and enjoy every moment but at the same time you need to do your best, and have faith in Allah’s plan,” he stressed.​

In the near future, Farith elaborated, he wanted to expand his career and further his studies at masters’ level since he wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a diplomat or a policy maker, and working towards the betterment of the country.

“I am inspired by the satisfaction ​of being successful and I also wanted to repay my parents and family, and contribute to the community,” Farith further shared.

Graduated from AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) with a bachelor’s degree, Farith was in the main committee for inter-Mahallah sports carnival in 2018, at the same time, was Vice President of Mahallah Zubair for two years.

Farith also served as head of education and training for Mahallah Representative Committee (MRC) for a year.

He received the award on Saturday (12 March) at the 36th convocation ceremony at IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC)​. ***
