GOMBAK, 17 December 2021: The long-awaited results of ‘Creative Writing Competition’ which ended on 15 November have finally been announced today that saw fourth-year Communication student, Iylia Marsya Iskandar winning first place.
Organised by the International Institute of Muslim Unity (IIMU) and Secretariat of English Language and Literature (ELITS), the competition was aimed at unleashing students skills in writing short stories relevant to the lives of Muslims and their social issues.
Entries of short stories were evaluated through a panel of three judges, and selected short stories will be published in a book.
After careful deliberation, the list of winners are as follows:
The first place winner is awarded to Iylia Marsya Iskandar with a cash prize of RM300.
Meanwhile, the second-place goes to Siti Hasanah Azahari with RM200 cash prize.
Third-place winner, Muhammad Haikal Syafiee received a cash prize of RM 100.
IIMU and ELITS extended their heartiest congratulations to all winners and appreciations to all who have participated in this competition.***
