GOMBAK, 15 December 2021: IIUM has today released the dates for the 36th, 37th and 38th convocation ceremonies which will all be taking place next year.
The 36th and 37th convocations were postponed due to the pandemic situation in the country. As the circumstances have improved, IIUM has decided to hold the long overdue physical ceremonies next year.
The IIUM Constitutional Head, Her Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda The Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj has given Her Majesty’s consent for the 36th, 37th and the 38th IIUM Convocation to be held in March, August and November of next year respectively.
The 36th convocation ceremony for 2020 graduands will be held from 12th to 20th March 2022 while the 37th convocation ceremony for 2021 graduands will be held from 13 to 20 August 2022. Despite having a five-month gap, the opening session for both ceremonies will be on 12 March 2022.
The 38th convocation ceremony for 2022 graduands is set to take place from 19 to 27 November 2022.
IIUM reminded those who would attend the ceremony to complete their vaccinations and practise physical distancing to ensure the safety of everyone.
IIUM also states its priority to ensure the graduands could celebrate their perseverance, diligence and experiences gained in IIUM. ***
