The national sailing athlete who recently competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, Khairul Nizam Mohd Affendy expressed his gratitude for his team members’ hard work and thanked their captain Danial Najmuddin for making it possible for them to end with the third position on the international podium.

Team member Mohd Saifullah Mohd Esa described that it was a œtough fight in 10 degrees Celcius cold weather, very shifty wind.

Together in the team, Tokyo Olympics sailor Nur Shazrin Mohamad Latif said that the team has œonly five days of training together with some of the team members meeting for the first time.

In his Instagram posting, KhairulNizam mentioned that œthe team is just 14 days old with some never met and sailed together making the accomplishment more remarkable which further proves that œMalaysia does have good sailors who can sail keelboats.

Khairulnizam further wished everyone to support their programme and the team to achieve their goal in the upcoming year match. ***
