GOMBAK, 26 November 2020: The total number of new COVID-19 cases recorded in Malaysia today is 935 which consists of 931 local cases and 4 imported cases summing up to 60,752 cumulative cases and 11,348 total active cases.
The number of positive cases treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is 110 cases with 45 cases in need of ventilator support.
Alongside that, the number of recovered cases today is 2,555 leading to the total of 49,056 recovered cases. Unfortunately, three fatalities have been reported today in Sabah which makes the COVID-19 death toll to 348.
Sabah had exceeded Negeri Sembilan with the highest amount of daily cases with a recorded number of 326 cases (34.9 percent). This is followed by Selangor with 161 cases (17.2 percent) and Negeri Sembilan (16.9 percent).
A total of 103 cases (11.0 percent) are from lockups and prisons which include Bakti cluster (95 cases), Tembok cluster (5 cases). GK Tawau cluster (2 cases) and Kepayan Prison cluster (1 case).
The public are reminded to abide by the standard operation procedures (SOPs) as the new normal in order to win the battle against COVID-19. ***
