GOMBAK, 22 November 2020: The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) recently organised a workshop on the Future Scenarios Building (FSB) for IIUM administrators and academicians to make the university at its best beyond 2023.
Chaired by Prof. Sohail Inayatullah from Tamkang University, Taipei, the workshop conducted online via Zoom platform, was also attended by the Rector, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, all deputy rectors and IIUM top management.
During the session, the participants were divided into four different groups at four different locations in IIUM and were asked to do a thorough discussion and presentation on the future of IIUM.
The Rector regarded this workshop as important since IIUM is now moving forward globally.
“By the 40th anniversary of IIUM, we should be seen as a complete university and in IIUM Roadmap for the year 2021-2022, we have four phases to be focused on, which are, the university itself, beautifying the garden and others,” he said.
According to the Rector the university is looking forward to the year 2040 in making IIUM its best.
“I hope by that year, we have already gotten the momentum, terms, the drive and direction and more importantly the teamwork, and these are the things that we are looking at beyond the year 2023,” he added.***
