GOMBAK, 4 March 2020 – The IIUM Takrim Month 2020 was successfully officiated by the Rector of IIUM, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak today located at IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC).

According to Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, the main objective of this event is to “provide and share information about all Kulliyyah and academics in IIUM”.

The Rector noted that in order to invite more students especially those with STPM and SPM qualifications to pursue their study in IIUM, the university needs to generate an initiative to portray that this university is eligible and comfortable for students to study.

“IIUM is very different and it is unique compared to other universities in terms of quality, culture and value,” Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak said in his speech.

Therefore, he said, it is significant for the university to recommend and give information about the academic programmes being offered apart from giving the feel of the environment of study in IIUM.

Hence, all the 17 Kulliyyah from Gombak and Kuantan campus are gathered here where they set up their own booths to ensure that visitors and potential students have a clear view regarding the courses available and are able to get more in-depth information if they have any queries.

Lecturers and academic staff are in charge of their booths together with the students, which showed that they have the responsibility to raise and strengthen the university’s name. Hence, visitors would be given an accurate and complete information regarding anything they would want to know since they have the opportunity to ask questions directly.

Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli also suggested that all Kulliyyah produce Islamic personalities of quality among students like that of Islamic scholar, Al- Ghazali.

He said that IUM has a mission to mould students not only for excellence in academics but also in their manners (adab) as this kind of individuals will be useful to society in the future.***
