GOMBAK, 31 March 2019: A session for autistic students to improve their cognitive and psychomotor skills that included lessons in Mathematics, English and Islamic studies through fun learning, will be held soon as a follow-up to the bonding session held earlier on 8 and 15 March.

This is part of the Educational Charity Project 2019 conducted by the internship class of Communication Department, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS).

“The module meets the level of children’s understanding as they give positive feedback through active participation,” said Nabilah Mohd Isa, one of the teachers at PI3KUM Centre.

“I’m also satisfied with the commitment given by the committee members involved as they are capable in teaching and handling the children. Since the project started, the children have always look forward to the next session,” she added.

PI3KUM Centre is a non-profit organisation for special needs children that provides Islamic education. The school is located in Batu Caves.

With 15 special kids and five teachers, the programme is intended to create awareness among society on special kids and to raise funds to provide better facilities for the school.
