HAMKA’s masterpiece “Teroesir” in theatre to showcase Islamic values

An Islamic themed theatre, “Teroesir”, based on a masterpiece by popular philosopher and writer HAMKA (Hj AbdulMalik K.A) will be staged on 19 and 20 November to expose to IIUM community the Islamic values which can be applied to many activities including entertainment.

Kshatriya Production, a newly set up theatre house, in collaboration with Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS) UIAM, will organise the theatre aimed to showcase the infusion between Islamic values and theatre, that will be staged at the Main Auditorium in IIUM campus here.

The tickets are available starting from 23 October at their booth located at Dry Area HS cafe, IIUM. To make it a success, members of IIUM community have been invited to attend.

The theatre will be staged for two nights with a target audience of 700 people per night. However, members of the public are also welcomed.

“Teroesir will not only be the entertainment of the night but also for the viewers to ponder upon, especially from Islamic perspective,” said theatre’s Assistant Programme Manager, Norainaa Syamimi.
