GOMBAK, 8 March 2016: œThere will be more programmes conducted in the future for members of MISI Club such as family day and excursion, said the President of MISI Club, Ridzuanshah Bahdishah
MISI Club in collaboration with Ikatan Anak-Anak Sabah (IKAS) has organised an event ‘Dinner with MISI Alumni’ on 5 March 2016 (Saturday) at Kuliyyah of Education.
The event that lasted from 7p.m until 10p.m was carried out to enlighten new students about MISI Club, at the same time, to strengthen the bond between members and ALUMNI of the club.
Ridzuanshah said, œI am hoping this event will create a greater bond between members and the Alumni. My wish is for them to continue to be involved in any programme conducted by the club. Hopefully new students who come to this event will learn and feel motivated after listening to stories from Alumni members.
Unlike a normal dinner gathering, members of MISI club spent their time cooking together the various types of traditional food from Sabah and also using the concept of dinner potluck, they encouraged people who came to bring their own food which was later shared with others.
They also had an Alumni forum where Alumni members were requested to introduce themselves to the attendees, a brief introduction about MISI Club and its history, explanation regarding their educational camp (aimed for schools in Sabah) and many more.
œI was very excited to attend Dinner with Alumni. I had gained a lot of benefit from it. It has opened my mind and inspired me to move forward along with MISI Club and IKAS in helping students from Sabah and Sarawak, said Abdul Salam, a member of both clubs.
MISI Club has been conducting this very event every year to connect more with their own members. As they realised the gap between members, new and old, still exist, through Dinner with Alumni it could bring the members together, creating a cordial relationship with one another.***
