Russian cooperation vital

MALAYSIA Airlines Flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down over war-torn east Ukraine on July 17, 2014. More than a year later, the much-awaited report on what transpired is out. It paints a scenario of a warhead exploding very close to the cockpit killing its three occupants immediately, but the Dutch Safety Board (DSB)-led investigation did not identify the culprit other than to say that the Russian- made BUK surface-to-air missile was fired from east Ukraine from a territory larger than 300 sq km. The criminal investigation armed with this report is under way.
