THERE was a group of heritage lovers who, in 2010, had a meeting with the Kedah government officials on joint measures to be taken in mounting a comprehensive inventory to elevate the Bujang Valley in Kedah to be listed into the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisations World Heritage List. One local historian quipped: œWhat for¦ its a Hindu heritage! Malaysian history should begin with Islam, in the 14th century.
