From “failure” to “success”

By Suraya Usamah

“Complaining never makes it any better; in fact it makes it worst”. Whenever we face any kind of problem the first automatic thing we do is to complain, either to families, friends or to our own selves.

I admit at times there are things which seem impossible or out of reach, when you’re trapped in a problem and you can’t find a way out, when you feel weak and incapable of achieving your goal, when you see others getting on top of that mountain you’re trying to climb.

Believe me, everyone goes through the same thing every now and then. Those who you see on top of that mountain, they were once at the very same spot you are at now.

Every successful person must have gone through at least one failure in his life. Believe me those who never felt that awful feeling of failure will never understand or appreciate that satisfying feeling of success.

In my opinion, the key to success is to believe in yourself. If others got to the top it means it is possible for you to achieve too. Actually there’s nothing impossible if you put full determination in it.

Success is never easy, there are always bumpers, cracks and nails on the road but that’s what makes it worth it at the end, that’s when you get that feeling in your guts saying, “God, I made it!” and that most sincere smile appears on your face.

That is the feeling of success, of achieving what you wanted, of breaking that stiff brick wall of barriers, of getting yourself out of a problem with a lesson to remember and of knowing that you have what it takes.

Life will always knock us down and yes it sucks! But, remember we must always have enough strength to get the back up and fight to continue climbing that mountain until we get to the top.

Believe me the view from up there is worth fighting for.
