MANY concerned Malaysians (this writer included) had feared in the run-up to the 13th General Elections that Chinese Malaysians would vote rather emotionally and en bloc for Pakatan parties and become uncomfortably tied disproportionately to an anti-Barisan Nasional swing in voter sentiments, and that the end result would be a most unhealthy and equally emotional backlash against this group of Malaysians as a whole.
