Despite the absence of invited lecturers and the last minute withdrawal of the invited imam for solat hajat, Assistant Programme Manager for the SOCA Gathering, Siti Nurul Aina Mohd Rapi, still found the program a resounding success.
According to Aina, the committee of the program, members from the Sociology and Anthropology Students’ Association (SOCASA), were able to handle the unexpected situation really well.
She explained that in the end, what was important was that the event ran smoothly and that all the objectives were successfully achieved.

The SOCA Gathering, a one-night barbeque and solat hajat session for sociology majors held yesterday, aimed to gather all students from Department of Sociology and Anthropology and to strengthen the ukhwah between them.
One of the students, third-year Siti Rosmah Abu Hanifah, said that she was very glad to be able to attend the event as it gave her the opportunity to communicate intimately with both juniors and seniors.
She also added that the committees worked very hard to ensure the smooth running of the event, and would like to congratulate them for a job well done.
Assistant Programmme Manager Aina thanked all the students who joined the event and hoped that more students would attend the many upcoming events organized by SOCASA in the future.
