Don’t Miss Out! Gombak Food Festival 2025 Promises Flavour, Fun, and Family Activities!

GOMBAK, 3 January: The highly anticipated Gombak Food Festival is set to take place on Sunday, 5 January 2025, at Masjid Al-Syakirin, Gombak, from 8 am to 5 pm. The festival aims to empower small local businesses involving those mainly from Kampung Kerdas, Gombak and businesses that involve persons with disabilities by providing them with a platform to showcase their products to the public. This is a community event featuring food, activities, workshops and a car boot sale. The organisers of the event are COMM3315: Integrated Marketing Communication students, Communication Students’ Association (COSA), Support Association for Parents of Special Needs Children (SUPPORT) and Masjid Al-Syakirin, Gombak.

The festival will be officiated by the Chairperson of the National Entrepreneur Institute (INSKEN), Tuan Haji Mustapha Kamil Ayub, opening remarks will be by AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS) Dean, Prof. Dr. Shukran Abdul Rahman and Villag Head of Kampung Kerdas, Tok Shamsudin Yahaya.

Some of the phenomenal vendors scheduled to be there include Enjoy Burger, Arisma, Dyslexia Café, My QT Bites, Autism Café Project, Tuns Anuar, Kek Hidayah, Mat Murtabak, Nasi Kukus Kak Ina and K-Link Care Center. For festival foodies, it’s a burger, nasi kukus, cake, and murtabak kind of event, to name a few that were hand-picked to provide so many delicious options. Each vendor brings unique flavors to Gombak’s diverse food scene at the festival, offering festival attendees a chance to enjoy them all.

Adding to the festivities, a car boot sale will also take place on the premises for vendors organised by Asal Gombak; there’s shopping and eating to be had during this day of revelry which ensures participation from both the community and outside strangers. Therefore, this isn’t a food festival for just food. It’s a festival of community and efforts of small businesses in great need for exposure. You’re contributing to a local venture and local winners like the Dyslexia Café and Autism Café Project.
