The majority of Malaysians have coffee to start their day. Coffee is an essential morning meal regardless of whether it is a workday or a weekday. The body lacks energy and feels lifeless without coffee. But the problem occurs when people drink too much coffee—a condition known as coffee addiction.
Coffee is widely accessible and available for purchase everywhere. For instance, there are cafes such as Richiamo Coffee, Zus Coffee, and so forth. For coffee lovers, the relatively high cost of coffee is not a major concern. Caffeine, a stimulant substance found in coffee, contributes to that feeling of freshness and vigour. Caffeine is also present in tea and chocolate, however in less quantities.
However, excessive and uncontrolled coffee drinking might be dangerous to one’s health. These include trouble sleeping, nervousness, trembling hands, irregular heartbeat, and so on. When coffee is not consumed at its typical time, this effect is seen.
Additionally, consuming too much coffee can interfere with the function of beneficial bacteria in the intestines and cause health issues like gastric and digestive issues.
There is no doubt that coffee also has its own benefits if taken in the right amount. According to the National Health Council, one of the benefits of coffee is helping to control stress. In addition, it increases the body’s metabolic rate by up to 11 percent and helps burn fat by up to 13 percent.
When drinking coffee an hour before exercise, it helps to improve fitness during exercise and also burn more calories and reduce post-exercise fatigue. Coffee also helps increase probiotic-good bacteria in the gut.
The goodness and benefits of coffee can be utilised if individuals consume coffee in the right amount. However, if an individual drinks coffee excessively, this will have adverse effects on health in the long term.
Therefore, make sure that you always take care of your health by consuming food and beverages in the proper amounts and not in excess. Stay healthy!***
