In an interview with IIUMToday, the Head of the Communication Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeti Azreen Binti Ahmad mentioned that students should look forward to the festival because they can learn about Communication in a more fun and creative manner.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeti conveyed her trust towards the festival’s committee members by saying that they are capable of organizing good events and she can see that they have been working hard for the last two months and added, “This synergy will create a masterpiece, inshaAllah.”

“I hope the festival will benefit every member in the Communication Department; both academics and students and inspire us with its theme ‘unleashing the power of communication’,” she expressed.

She concluded by saying that she would like the students to take part and appreciate what they have accomplished thus far and hopes that all Communication students and academics will grasp the opportunity to network and learn from the programme.

One of the festival’s advisors Dr. Mohd Hemi Bin Yusoh mentioned that the students should be excited as they can participate in a variety of academic and non-academic programmes and exhibit their talents.

Dr. Helmi also expressed his confidence in all of the students involved in the festival, especially the seniors by saying that they possess the necessary skills to make this festival a success and that they have demonstrated it on previous occasions.

“I hope that this festival will increase the students’ visibility, particularly in the Communication industry and other students should join us in this festival because you will surely benefit from it,” he concluded in his interview.

The Assistant Programme Manager of the festival, Nuqman Adam bin Badrul Azam, expressed that “Students should be excited about this festival because of its interesting activities, media talks, public figures sessions, media companies booths, food vendors and many more!”

He believes their efforts in preparing this festival will be fruitful since they have had endless meetings and that the festival is beneficial because it can allow non-Communication students to learn more about the world of Journalism and Strategic Communication.

“Don’t miss out on this golden opportunity to learn something new and exciting! Take your time to look at the booths and exhibits and experience the world of Communication,” he concluded. ***
