GOMBAK 17 November 2022: Early exposure to the “Internet of Things” is pivotal for educational advancement, the Deputy Rector (Academic and Internalisation) of IIUM, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Faris, shared to audience.
œEarly exposure to knowledge concerning 3D Printer rocket building will concede the participants to get a sense of current technology, he said during the inauguration ceremony of the Rocket 3D Printing Workshop on 12 November 2022.
Prof. Dr. Faris said that the two-day event will be beneficial, and participants should not take it for granted, in which he stressed, “It can thus reinforce the critical thinking process in society.”
During the launching the Rocket 3D Printing Workshop, Prof. Dr. Faris also hoped that the workshop will aid the students in terms of implementing the value of aerospace technology in their daily lives.
He wished that the workshop would impart a solid understanding of the engineering system as well as its disciplines as the two facets are pivotal in aerospace engineerings field.
He congratulated the participants on their eagerness to undergo the workshop and thanked the committees for their willingness to guide the participants.
The two-day event, hosted by KOE, was attended by 60 students from secondary schools around Gombak, Selangor.
Representatives from the Gombak District Education Office, members of the Air Youth Club, the Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, lecturers, facilitators, and teachers from the represented schools were also present.***
