GOMBAK, 13 October 2022: International Islamic University Malaysia Student Union (IIUMSU) will assist the students of IIUM in exercising their right to vote in the Malaysias 15th General Election (GE15).
In a statement, the IIUMSU said the dissolution of parliament on Monday (10 October) has driven them to take this chance to instil political literacy among IIUM students as the general election requires the participation of students aged 18 years old and above.
With the impending monsoon season, IIUMSU is said to be joining forces with several organisations to ensure that every student, including those affected by the monsoon floods, is able to cast their vote in the GE15.
œWith weeks to go, collaborations with relevant groups, movements, bodies, and authorities will be formed to ensure qualified voters can return to their constituencies,” the statement said.
IIUMSU also highlighted the importance for qualified voters to perform their responsibility in their respective constituencies.
This is to ensure that opportunity is given to the eligible voters to voice their opinions by casting their vote. ***
