GOMBAK, 4 October 2022: Former Deputy Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkifli Hasan’s Twitter account was flooded with students and staff members of IIUM who expressed their gratitude and appreciation for his service.
In a Twitter post, Assoc. Prof. Dr Zulkifli Hasan mentioned how his four years at IIUM have been rewarding, and he will never forget his time here and thanked everyone for their support.
A former Abdulhamid AbuSulayman Kuliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences’s student, Nur Idayu Mumtaz described Dr Zulkifli as a person who saw the student’s opportunity.
“I saw Dr Zulkifli as one of the people who motivated students to do more, and his service will always be remembered”, she said in Twitter post.
For the Officer of Entrepreneurship IIUM Student Union, Lutfi Moten tweeted, “Thank you for your contributions Dr Zul, now you are back as a lecturer in USIM, and I’m very sure your students will love your class”.
A research officer and a former IIUM student, Amin Mubarak said Dr Zulkifli is someone who is committed to restoring the idealism of students.
“Truly a big loss for IIUM,” Amin Mubarak remarked.
Meanwhile, a lecturer from Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Law (AIKOL), Dr. Sodiq Omoola said the contributions and good management showed by Dr Zulkifli has indeed set another level of standard and good exemplary.
“You have set a high standard for other deputy rectors, may Allah reward you and favour your further endeavours,” he said.
In a respond to that, Dr Zulkifli said in his post, “Whatever you do in your life, make sure you are good and kind to the people around you”.
He quoted Martin Luther King Jr., “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that”.
Associate Profesor Dr Zulkifli Hasan has served as Deputy Rector (Student Development and Community Engagement) from 2018 until 2022.
He was graduated from Kuliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia and obtained LLB or Bachelor of Laws and Bachlor of Shariah. ***
