GOMBAK, 15 August 2022: The Student and Scholarship Unit under the Finance Division has notified all students funded by Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) (or National Higher Education Fund Corporation) to change their Bank Muamalat accounts to RHB Bank accounts for future disbursements that will be performed starting from Semester 2, 2022/2023 onwards.

In a statement, the unit highlighted that IIUM students who applied for PTPTN were required to open an RHB Bank account by registering through the Kad Prihatin Siswa which can be found on the IIUM student portal, i-Ma’luum.

The “Kad Prihatin Siswa” is a dual-purpose card that functions as an RHB MySiswa Debit Card-i and a student matric card. In addition, it is also applicable for both local and international students of public universities.

This is a collaborative program initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) along with other public universities in Malaysia and RHB Bank.

It functions to serve as a means to implement the financial savings initiative, cashless and smart campus, standardization of student identification cards, and the establishment of a better financial ecosystem for the students, universities, PTPTN, and MOHE.

This card will include a direct disbursement of promotions, discounts, financial assistance, and rewards to the student’s account.

It also pointed out that students will not be charged for opening the RHB bank account and there will be no annual fee throughout the student’s study period.

Below is the process to register for Kad Prihatin Siswa:

Step 1: Login to Student’s Portal (i-Ma’luum)

Step 2: Read the Student Consent on Kad Prihatin Siswa

Step 3: Click the URL to enable the Agree button

Step 4: Click Agree and Submit

Step 5: RHB Bank will print the Kad Prihatin Siswa and send it to the university
