GOMBAK, 14 August 2022: Graduates need to sow the seeds of strength intellectually and spiritually in solving the modern days problems such as social media abuse and the worsening of mental health issues.

Member of IIUM Board of Governance, Honourable Professor Dr Aminuddin Che Ahmad said this in his speech at the third session of the 37th Convocation Ceremony that commemorated 541 graduands from the various departments conferred their master’s degrees.

Dr Aminuddin explained the relevancy of weapons and armours that IIUM graduates have been equipped with to improve the world today that has “constantly evolving in a reverse manner.”

“Even when thousands of graduands across the country proudly celebrate the success of obtaining degrees from universities, other thousands of young teenagers do not see their future as university students,” he continued.

To develop the generation to come, graduates should rise and take up the lead in getting opportunities instead of waiting because “we are the essence of Rahmatan Lil’alamin,” he emphasised.
