350 graduands from KAHS, KOD and KON receive scrolls at 13th session of 36th Convo today

GOMBAK, 19 March 2022:  The 13th session of 36th Convocation Ceremony today saw a total of 350 graduands from three different  Kulliyyah receiving their scrolls – Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences (KAHS), Kulliyyah of Dentistry (KOD) and Kulliyyah of Nursing (KON).

The session was officiated by the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Ragai Tawfik Said Nasr, who is a member of IIUM Board of Governors.

IIUM Rector, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak said in his speech that being graduates of allied health sciences, dentistry and nursing have a lot to offer and a lot to deal with in terms of those issues particularly related to health.

The Rector emphasised that numerous public health issues, from stunning to obesity among children and teenagers to chronic diabetes and heart failures among the adult population, need to be tackled by educating the society with a healthy and Islamic lifestyle.

“Your role from now onwards is to lead the way and continue to shape the society and offer alternative solutions to those with various problems, instead of just making money feathering your own nest, you need to go out and also attend to other people’s misery,” he added. 

In the session, nine graduands received Kulliyyah Level Awards for KAHS, KOD and KON.

The recipients of the Kulliyyah Level Awards are as follows:

Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences (KAHS)

  • Nur Shazleen Nisha binti Rozali (Best Student Overall)
  • Mahani binti Roslan (Best Student Academic)
  • Faten Abdunroha Kama (Best Student Co-curricular)

Kulliyyah of Dentistry (KOD)

  • Fattirah Auni binti Fauzi (Best Student Overall)
  • Noor Arisa binti Mohamad Rashidi (Best Student Academic)
  • Hajar Ar Rahmah binti Nasri (Best Student Co-curricular)

Kulliyyah of Nursing (KON)

  • Izzati binti Zahari (Best Student Overall)
  • Nur Nabila Izzati binti Asmera (Best Student Academic)
  • Azriah binti Azahary (Best Student Co-curricular)

Mr. Ragai Tawfik Said Nasr in his proclamation of adjournment expressed his gratitude to attend the glamorous and prestigious ceremony and wished the graduates all the luck in their endeavours in life ahead. ***
