GOMBAK, 8 March 2022: A total of 139 trainees from three universities – International Islamic University Malaysia, Universiti Malaya (UM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) – received their certificates of commissioning at a ceremony ‘Istiadat Tamat Latihan dan Pentaulihan Sijil Lantikan Kor Sukarelawan Polis Siswa Siswi (SUKSIS)’ held at IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC) recently.
The certificates were delivered by Dato’ Aidi bin Ismail, the newly appointed director of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) of Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) on Saturday (26 February).
In his speech, Dato’ Aidi welcomed the SUKSIS’s trainees to join PDRM as an officer where he said that the probability of the trainees being accepted as an officer in PDRM is 80 percent higher than civilians.
“As trainees who have acquired basic training and knowledge such as marching and PDRM legislation, and as trainees in uniform bodies who have enhanced their qualities and values, all of these make them stand out from other candidates in an occupational field,” he further said.
A trainee from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Muhammad Shafiei bin Badrunnahar expressed his gratitude for the commissioning that took place with the presence of family members.
“Thank you to IIUM commission committees too for making this happen! Shafiei added.
In the ceremony, Nurul Hadirah Ridwana binti Mohd Hisam from IIUM, Farhan Najihah binti Azman from UM and Mohamad Syafiq bin Saidon from UPM were announced as the Best Overall Trainee of their universities respectively.
While for Best Trainee for Outdoor Training goes to Amir Redho bin Osman (IIUM), Hasif Islam bin Kamarudzaman (UM) and Muhammad Irfan bin Khairil Anuar (UPM), three other trainees, Ku Nur Zawani bin Ku Zambri (IIUM), Muhammad Luqman Hakim bin Mohd Noor (UM), and Mur Ilya Aqeela binti Mahamad Basari (UPM) were declared as the Best Trainee Academics.
To complement the ceremony, three trainees received the Special Award of Commandant – Nor Ainun Barieah binti Zahari from IIUM, Mohd Hazem Eiman bin Zainal (UM), and Fera Novianti binti Nunirman (UPM).
As the ceremony took place by observing strict standard operating procedures (SOP), no visitors “ including parents – were allowed.***
