GOMBAK, 18 February 2022: As the government has decided to allow students of Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT) to return to their campuses starting from 1st March 2022, IIUM has released the official guidelines on this matter.
All students, except those with health (COVID-19 related issues or hospital admission) and travelling restrictions, are expected to return to campus for Semester 2, 2021/2022 for face-to-face and/or hybrid teaching and learning activities.
Returning students and new students who are completely vaccinated (more than 14 days after the second dose of Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinovac/Sinopharm vaccines; or 28 days after the single dose of CanSino and Johnson & Johnson vaccines) may enter campuses.
All positive cases, close contacts as indicated in MySejahtera application and symptomatic persons are not allowed to enter the campuses.
For international students, only fully vaccinated students are allowed to enter the country and they must undergo quarantine for 7 days for fully vaccinated students and 5 days for those who had received booster dose.
The dates and time of new intake and returning students to campus are as follow:

Those who have not completed their vaccination or unvaccinated would not be allowed to stay at Mahallah but are still allowed to enter the campus for face-to-face teaching and learning activities.
However, they must undergo the RT-PCR test at their own cost and the result must be negative 3 days prior to entering campus.
Those who attend events/activities/gatherings on campus involving huge attendance must adhere to current SOPs issued by the authority.
Unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated persons will have limited access to facilities within the campuses and may also be refused from using certain facilities within the campuses.
All staff and students must practice physical distancing and wear a mask in public areas.
These guidelines aim to protect the IIUM community from SARS-CoV-2 infection and, at the same time, return to a certain level of preCOVID-19 normalcy.
All shall be subjected to action under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease Act 1988 (Act 342) for failure to declare or false declaration of your health condition and/or contact tracing situation or intentionally refuse to provide any relevant information as required by the University authority. ***
