GOMBAK, 8 September 2021: Creative arts activists can breathe a sigh of relief after the government gave the flexibility to operate to more than 19,000 companies related to the creative industry sector.
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, in a statement informed that the flexibility given to individuals who have been fully vaccinated will come into effect this Thursday (September 9).
“The government through the National Recovery Plan (PPN) has agreed to loosen up the standard operating procedures (SOP) Phase 1 for the creative industry, which expected to provide relief to more than a million activists, artists and workers,” he said.
Commenting further, he said, the activities allowed are the development and broadcasting of creative content by recording or live broadcast.
“Live broadcasts in the form of information delivery and entertainment are also allowed with the presence of a fully vaccinated audience with an audience capacity of 30 percent in the studio space,” he said.
He said filming inside and outside the studio will also allowed for individuals who have completed the vaccination.
“Indoor busking and hotel lounge performances are also allowed,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that cinema activities are also open to individuals who have been vaccinated with a capacity of 50 percent in the cinema screening hall.***
