GOMBAK, 7 November 2020: KIRKHS Entrepreneurship Committee (KENT) has produced the first series of webinar on the topic of why and how to dive into digital entrepreneurship to enlighten the audience in mastering digital marketing skills.
The speakers at the webinar held last Friday (6 November) were the founder of Channascarves, Husna Budin, founder of Ammost.Cookies, Alif Amirul Ahmad, and founder of ByFarla, Farah Nabilah Abdull Jamil.
The webinar was moderated by Nor Iskandar Mazlan.
Ammost.Cookies was set up in February this year and its founder, Alif Amirul Ahmad, has just been employed as Management Trainee at Sugarbomb Worldwide Sdn Bhd. He shared that digital entrepreneurship is used because of the change of technology. Familiarisation with technology includes social media, networking and online platform, he indicated.
Alif Amirul also said that during the COVID-19 pandemic everyone prefers to shop online rather than offline and digital entrepreneurship culture, he added, is a good culture to practice.
“The tip to kickstart your business is by having soft skills and technical skills which include communication, networking and time management.”
Meanwhile, the founder of Channascarves, Husna Budin told the live webinar that “time is money which a good entrepreneur will manage their time differently”. She highlighted that “we should never waste our time in doing any business.”
The sharing session continued with tips on marketing strategies, such as setting a target, choosing marketing strategy, content feed planning, improvise on packaging, and mastering social media marketing, given by the founder of ByFarla, Farah Nabilah Abdull Jamil.
“An entrepreneur should be an opportunist by looking at the positive side of every situation instead of losing hope,” Farah Nabilah said.
“You should try to solve the problem and utilise every skill that you have,” she added.
The leader of KENT, Assoc Prof. Dr. Nurazzura Md Diah concluded the webinar with a question and answer session.
