IIUM signs MoU with NCCU Taiwan

GOMBAK 8 July 2014: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the National Chung Cheng University (NCCU) Taiwan was signed here today.

The signing of the MoU brings the two universities to collaborate in a number of areas including research partnerships, student and staff exchanges, and many more.

The MoU is geared towards sharing experiences and knowledge from the two universities and extending their contributions internationally.

The Deputy Rector of IIUM (Academic & Planning), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Md. Tahir Md. Azhar, appreciates the partnership by saying that the mutually beneficial academic collaborations are long overdue.

According to the president of NCCU, Dr. Jyh-Yang Wu, their university chose to partner with IIUM because of its long history and admirable reputation.

NCCU is a public research university located in Chiayi, Taiwan and known for its dedication to the core of humanities, basic sciences, and is placed among four Taiwan’s Public Ivy universities.
