GOMBAK, 8 May 2019 – The Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences Students Society (IRKHSSS) is looking forward to recruit volunteers from among IIUM community members for Ramadan Merrier team to handle its Grand Iftar 2019.
The event will be held at the parking area in front of IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC) from 5 p.m to 8 p.m this Friday (10 May), as such applicants must confirm if they are completely free during this time.
Assistant Programme Manager, Amirah Faizah Jailani said: “Some committee members will be taking exam on the day of the event, so 30 volunteers will be recruited to help distribute food for the event site, to take care of foreign guests, and to look after the venue.”
IRKHSSS provides free food and snacks for every volunteer on that day, and welcomes every volunteer who wants to participate in the event.
Volunteer work may be the best ibadah in Ramadan. As stated in the Quran, Allah (SWT) says: “Help one another in acts of piety and righteousness. And do not assist each other in acts of sinfulness and transgression. And be aware of Allah. Verily, Allah is severe in punishment” (Quran 5:2).
