GOMBAK, 4 May 2019 – A theater titled “Firaun” that recalled the history of Pharaoh on his acts of arrogance and the greatest signs of Allah S.W.T, was recently staged in IIUM campus here.

The theatre was filled with horrific and convinced scenes added with some musical elements that made the audiences enjoy the show until the end.

It was a collaboration between Twinkle Studio and CELPAD Bahasa Melayu, IIUM, held at the main hall of IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC).

The show went on for two days on 29 and 30 April, which was attended by IIUM Rector, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak on the first day of show.

“From this theatre we can recall the history of Firaun and the greatest signs of Allah S.W.T.  We are slaves and we are prohibited to act with arrogance,” added Nur Diyana Athirah.

According to the Programme Manager, Nur Diyana Athirah, the idea of the theatre “Firaun” came from one of the lecturers in CELPAD.

“Firaun” involved not only casts from among Malaysian students but also international students from Singapore, Indonesia and Yemen. ***
