GOMBAK, October 3 “ A four-day Education Festival on the theme “Educators: Beyond the Boundaries” launched on Monday (1 October) promised to bring greater surprise to the students.
œThis festival has been designed to focus more on graduating students and education bachelors, the Kulliyyah’s Deputy Dean (Students Affairs and Alumni), Associate Prof. Dr Sueraya binti Che Harun said when officiating the opening of the festival.
Organised by the Kulliyyah of Education in collaboration with the Counselling and Career Services Centre, the festival reflected the semi-formal concept aimed at opening up students’ mind on their preparation for jobs upon completion of their studies.
A spokesperson of the event explained: “Not only that, this festival is to open up the students’ mind regarding their job application. This is also to help them what to think about when they have finished their studies. They will be more exposed to the kind of jobs they are expected to do out there which may not be related to what they have learnt in the university.”
Throughout the first day of the event, there was a job-hunting event with the students to help them with job scope. This festival is filled with useful programmes to excite students into joining activities such as the tarik session, grooming workshop, influencer competition, and mock interviews.
This festival is to provide more space for education students to think about their future.
The event’s Executive Manager, Muhammad Haiqal Firdaus bin Hassim, (fourth year) and his assistant, Faten Sharmilah Syafiqah binti Mohd Bakhtiar (third year) and all committee members worked hard in making sure that the festival will end smoothly this Friday (5Â October).***
