Volunteers need to raise RM10,000 more in aid of Muslims in Belgaum, India

GOMBAK, 30 September 2018: A total of nine social activists and volunteers from IIUM will carry out a humanitarian mission “Jelajah Cinta India” to Belgaum, India to assist Muslim minority in Navgave Village there later in October. But the mission still lacks RM10,000 to make it a success.

As such, they are calling on the IIUM community to help them raise funds for this mission within five weeks before their departure. The volunteers are expected to depart for India on 24 October and return home by 3 November this year.

This project is carried out under “Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS) in collaboration with USM-KLE in India and organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It involves providing assistance in terms of food and beverages, Islamic knowledge and medical check-ups.
