GOMBAK, 28 September 2018: The opening ceremony of “Sentuhan Anak Yatim and Asnaf Caring” (SAYANG18) to be held 1 October at the Main Auditorium, IIUM, would hopefully open the hearts and minds of the campus community towards the orphanages, the event’s Executive Manager, Khairul Anuar Hashim said.
œIt has always been our objectives and intention under this club to spread awareness of the orphans towards the IIUM community as well as the public. However, SAYANG18 is a platform for us to also find and sustain our club’s financial system to provide help and ease the burden of the orphanages under our clubs care.”
He added, œThe admission to the opening ceremony is free and I really hope that everyone will come and cherish the night. At the same time, people can open their eyes more towards the orphanages along with us.
Organised by Caring Club, the opening ceremony of SAYANG18 will serve the IIUM community with amazing performances from IIUM talents like IIUM Nasyeed Club, Bakhtiar Baharin, Majestic, The Prism, IIUM Percussion Club and IIUM Angklung Club.
There will be interesting programmes under SAYANG18 which will be held throughout the month of October such as their annual event which is Run for Orphan 4 (RFO4) that will be held on the 6 October and Theatre Night ˜Ridicularious from 23 until 25 October.
SAYANG18 is a collaboration project with IIUM Angklung Club and Twinkle Studio. It has been rebranded from SAYANG15 with improvised objectives and activities.
