GOMBAK, 29 September 2018: An undergraduate Communication student, Irfan Sani won the first place in the video competition.

He received a total grand prize of RM800.00 for his video, “Dua Puluh Ringgit” on the theme “Respect” at its core.

“The video centred on how we should respect our elders and elderly the right way. It is very important to treat them with respect regardless of our social status, religion and race. Especially in our society that prioritises the elderly,” Irfan told IIUMToday.

“I was shocked and overwhelmed when I found out but I am totally happy. This will be the motivation for me to keep creating contents,” he added.

When asked how he found out about the competition, he said he stumbled into the post at Facebook and became interested to join the competition. He went on to say that he didn’t expect to win at all.
