GOMBAK 5 June: Former prime minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, delivered the premier presidential lecture during al liqa’ al shahri here yesterday.
Under the topic ‘Humanity and the Continuity of Civilization’, this lecture is catered to provide inspiration and motivation for the Malaysian citizen to reflect and instil positive values of the current civilization.
Tun Dr. Mahathir also highlighted several current issues that could assist the society towards being a better nation.
Attended by staff members of the university, including the president, Tan Sri Dr. Rais Yatim and university rector Dato’ Sri Prof. Zaleha Kamarudin, they also witnessed the launch of the university’s 30th anniversary book and I-Mu’allim, a web portal dedicated for the IIUM community.
